Last Night of Spring
Gonzaga Italian Dynasty ruled Mantua from 1328 to 1707 and also Montferrat, with the stronghold of Casale, from 1536 to 1707. During the Gonzaga epoch Mantua acted as a major centre for the diffusion of Renaissance trends and values, as well as an important literary and musical capital. Since 2008 has been declared UNESCO World Heritage site together with Sabbioneta. Roughly twenty hours before the 2015 Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, the astonishing beauty of Mantua historical buildings combines with the night-sky-triangle between the crescent Moon, Jupiter and Venus. The picture shows the Church of San Andrea, the vast Ducal Palace, San Giorgio Castle and bridge, as seen from park of river Mincio.
