The Castle of Rossena and the Tower of Rossenella are one of the most fascinating landmarks from Enza valley. They are located in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines – northern Italy – and were erected almost 1000 years ago in order to defend the nearby Castle of Canossa. The HDR image shows Rossena fortress standing on the reddish volcanic hill and illuminated by the winter civil twilight. The picture was taken at the end of December 2014, from Canossa (Italy), after a wonderful volcanic sunset.
